Project notes

Confirm product samples, bag drawings, filling range, dosing tolerance, seal pattern, film roll details and any print, inspection or reject requirements before ordering.

Liquid and paste sealing notes

Liquid and paste machinery must be checked against viscosity, product temperature, pump suitability, tank feed, nozzle cut-off and seal integrity. Film selection is critical for leak-resistant packs.

Application engineering for the LU-420GSY liquid and paste machine

Product condition determines the pump route

The LU-420GSY is intended for liquid and application-matched paste products in formed bags. Provide viscosity at filling temperature, particulate size, foaming, chemical compatibility and any tendency to string or drip so the pump, valve and nozzle arrangement can be assessed.

Interpret the published range as a starting point

The page lists a 100–1000ml customisable filling range, about 30–45 bags per minute and bag dimensions L50–400mm × W60–200mm. The accepted result depends on product flow, dose, pump refill, nozzle shut-off, film and seal time. “Customisable” requires the exact application to be defined.

Protect the horizontal seal

Liquid or paste must stop cleanly and remain below the seal path. Drip, splash, foam or stringing can create intermittent leaks. Trial the product at its normal operating temperature and inspect cooled packs after the line has reached a stable condition.

Cleaning, compatibility and access

Confirm contact materials and the intended clean-down procedure, including how tanks, pumps, hoses, valves and nozzles are drained or removed. The published 380V 50–60Hz supply, approximate 5kW power and machine weight of about 450kg should be checked as part of the final installation schedule.

Integration and control

Plan tank refill, level detection, agitation or temperature control where required, plus coding, takeaway conveyor and inspection. Interlocks should prevent the bagger from running without a controlled product supply or from releasing unverified packs after a fault.

Alternative route

For small high-output liquid sachets compare the LU-FSMP8 multi-channel system. Where sachet format is the specialist starting point, use sachetfillingmachines.co.uk.

Buyer questions

LU-420GSY liquid and paste machine FAQs

Can every paste run through the same pump?

No. Viscosity, particulates, temperature, shear sensitivity and compatibility determine the appropriate pump and valve route.

What does 100–1000ml customisable mean?

It is the published application range, but the fitted dosing components and product must be confirmed for the required volumes and tolerance.

Why should product temperature be controlled during testing?

Temperature can change viscosity, fill time, stringing and dose repeatability, so the test should represent normal production.

How can liquid be kept out of the seal?

Use the correct nozzle shut-off and timing, control drip or foam, leave suitable headspace and verify that the dose clears before jaw closure.

What installation utilities are listed?

The page publishes 380V 50–60Hz and approximately 5kW; confirm the final electrical schedule and any compressed-air or ancillary requirements for the configured line.

What should be checked after cleaning?

Confirm reassembly, leak-free connections, pump prime, correct recipe, first accepted dose and clean seals before production release.

Coordinate nozzle shut-off, visible inspection and seal testing

Drip, stringing, splash and foaming can contaminate the horizontal seal even when the pump delivers the correct volume. Set the pump, nozzle, product temperature, fill timing and bagger cycle together. Vision can identify selected visible defects, but it does not by itself prove that a liquid pack is leak-tight; define the separate seal-integrity or leak-test method required for the product and distribution route.
